Kitchen Remodeling (Part 2): Planning the Best Layout

On our previous blog, we discussed the importance of making smart decisions when it comes to any home remodeling project. To continue helping you achieve your dream kitchen, we’ll be discussing layout options and sharing details about our latest kitchen renovation project in Lafayette. You see, we go beyond siding, gutters, and roofing in NJ.  We also specialize in room renovations.

At Up and Above Contractors, LLC, we understand that every homeowner has different needs. This is why we offer a personalized approach to every kitchen renovation project. We will make sure to consider your needs and preferences, especially its layout – just like what we did for our client in Lafayette. You can even send pictures of designs you want for your kitchen.

As the kitchen is the most used area of the house, we’d like you to be comfortable in it. When planning the layout, always remember the triangle. It is popular for its practicality, as it offers a three-sided connection to the refrigerator, sink, and stove. You should also understand the foot traffic in the room. It will help you set up work areas that do not overlap with each other, so as to avoid inconveniences – and even chaos – when everyone is in the room.

Apart from positioning key areas of the kitchen close to each other, having appliances you can depend on is also important. On the kitchen we are working on in Lafayette, we installed Karran’s e-36-R Edge Sink, a stainless steel double bowl using seamless undermount. The product suits solid surface and laminate countertops. You can also use it on engineered stone and granite countertops.

You should also think about installing sturdy knobs for your cabinets if your kitchen doubles as a workspace. The more often people access your cabinets, the more that the knobs are at risk of wear and tear. For the project we are working on in Lafayette, we decided to use brushed oil rubbed bronze knobs by Hardware Resources. This cabinet hardware matches a range of colors and styles, making it the perfect choice for any kitchen design.

Planning your kitchen layout doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Get in touch with Up and Above Contractors, LLC for your home improvement needs.
